Gift Bags

of HOPE

This Christmas, Hope Worldwide Canada, West Church is focusing on children and teens in need in our own local communities. The goal is to provide children and teens at The Salvation Army Shelters at Dundas Street, Mississauga and The Salvation Army Shelter for Abused women and children in Brampton with hope, joy and let them know that they are valuable, loved and remembered, especially over this Christmas Season.  The program is called 'Gift Bags of HOPE'.

With the donations from members of our congregation, West Church made 100 gift bags and collected 31 gift cards and $195.00 in cash!

Over 30 Volunteers, adults, college & university students, teens and kids, spent time after the worship service on December 8th to sort and pack the many gift bags.

HOPE Worldwide Canada is truly grateful for the gifts and donations because of the great joy they will bring many children and families this Christmas! Gratitude as well for the volunteers and the hearts of the generous members of West Church!

Matthew 25:40 "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
