Our Beliefs
The Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).
Jesus is the Son of God (Mark 1:1). He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and he is the head of the church (Colossians 1:18).
We are saved by God's grace (Ephesians 2:8), which is received through faith (Romans 5:2) and demonstrated in the way we live (James 2:14-24).
To become a disciple of Jesus, a person must:
-
develop faith from the scriptures (Romans 10:17)
-
believe in Jesus (John 3:16)
-
repent of their sins (Acts 2:38)
-
confess Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9)
-
be baptized for the forgiveness of sins and to receive God's spirit (Acts 2:38), and to enter God's Kingdom (John 3:3)
The Christian life is characterized by loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and loving our neighbour as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-40).
Our mission is to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20) and to always remember the poor (Galatians 2:10).
